Chicane was born from an observation: we have neither awareness nor knowledge of the environment in which we are evolving during our travels. Thus, we straight follow the road and do not risk for a detour, a stop, a passage.
We then found a way to identify ourselves as a brand: "We are like a chicane, a slowdown in the straight line, the famous right then left turn in order to go straight away again".
Following this observation, we discussed then drew a first thought, a first projection, which we then illustrated in the form of a video.
These elements gave birth to a concept in us: "Make a journey your trip".
Subsequently, we interviewed more than twenty people during qualitative interviews in order to question the trip, the journey, the use of free time. We then organized these statements in order to bring out groupings of tensions, similarities and thus see the appearance of common needs and problems in order to develop the concept in the way to create the design of a desired solution.
We noted the need for a simple, light, non-intrusive tool that could guide your curiosity with ease. We then summarized our guideline for the production of the service by "It has to be like champagne and limousines".
Our work was then directed towards the creation of a curiosity tool that allows you to get an overview on your environment in the way to discover authentic experiences.
We tested the different mockups of the service with several people in order to obtain feedbacks and thus improve the service. We repeated this process three times in order to obtain a complete product in line with its end users.
